Ha ha ha - John Young says that the Internet is just a giant spying machine (at 4:15). That's so part of the standard controlled line of garbage. Internet is most a mass psywar tool.

My guess is that Wikileaks is an OP designed to:

-> serve as a magnet and sole destination for leaked information
-> identify whistle blowers
-> bring the practice of leaking documents to the World Court, or some other international body, where it will be smashed and Wikileaks will hand-over all the contact details of whistleblowers.

So, they contain the whistleblowing by creating a destination and giving it lots of media attention, so that it becomes the primary destination, almost monopolizing the service. Then, when everyone knows about it they smash it "legally", with their own lawyers running the bogus defense, in order to dissuade anyone else from starting such an organization.

He gives the game away at the very end, at approximately 8:28 into the clip. He says that once this power is in the hands of everyone that anyone will be able to investigate anyone else. This is called taking an Open Society to the extreme. DoD calls is "OPINT", for "Open Intelligence". The general concept behind an Open Society is that everything is out in the open and no one has any privacy. In this scenario, liberty is an impossibility.

By the way, George Soros' nonprofit organization is called the Open Society Institute (OSI).
