With Goldman Sachs finally feeling some pressure, it is an opportune time to look back at the scale of shock depicted in this October 2008 AlJazeera piece. Michael Hudson is one of the guests.

Part 1 is excellent! It's a pleasure to watch a news report that has some authenticity, as opposed to the *pap* our mainstream media serves us.

I'll be watching Part 2 later...Thanks for posting this, IP.

Toward the end of part 2 there is some guy (who I don't think the ever identified) with what sounds like a French accent. In any event, he claims, categorically, that the public will revert to neanderthal dog-eat-dog behavior a few years after the financial collapse. This is of course the COINTEL story, and they will no doubt roll-out teams of nihilists to convince us of this contrivance. What happens in reality, is that humanity reverts to its survival mechanisms, which is the opposite of dog-eat-dog. Instead, people help each other and form beneficial communities. If you've ever been in a post-disaster zone, such as a hurricane, you will see this for yourself. It is especially true when their stupid electricity grid is knocked-out, as they lose all of their ponerizing technetronics, and humanity quickly reverts to steady state.

But no one questions their basic assumptions. They are stated as if they are fact. It's the sociopaths that only know dog-eat-dog behavior. The rest of us have to be programmed and under constant technetronics and perception management techniques in order to behave this way.

Yes, absolutely. Sad that we've allowed this.Sad But I've observed also that In times of great stress, people revert to their basic instincts, and those basic instincts, the psychopaths notwithstanding, are to help each other. Yet these abysmal freaks try very hard to convince us that we are without any spirituality. They are really pathetic. I'm coming more and more to the conclusion that they are jealous of our normalcy. Maybe this is why they hate us so-- because they really ARE freaks, just very rich ones.

Re disasters etc., I know you're right. People join together during crises and become amazingly generous and caring. It's the silver lining in the the cloud, and a wonderful thing to experience. It's always surprised me, because on an everyday basis, this isn't how they act at all. Wonder what That says about our cultural values....

By the way, that quote, about 'man-will-eat-man (when the chips are down)', wasn't that our friend The Joker's philosophy? Talk about pathetic; what a devastating picture of a sociopath THAT was, and not at all far from reality, I suspect.

(I will have to watch Part 2, for sure.)
