One problem I have with the introducting of technology such as this is that no one is engaging in an open public discussion about the implications of such technology, It is simply brought into the market place as progress and everyone is supposed to accept it. Well, where is the adult ethical, moral discussion about the value of such technology and its potential impact on humanity?

The guy might as well get a chip put into him as far as I'm concerned. He is so dependent upon technology that if the power goes out he might not even know how to function. Seriously. What does this ultimately do? It gets you about as close as you can to becoming fully emerged into the fake world that it is mind boggling. He might as well get into his matrix pod and go to sleep with his gadgets. He could invent a reality world where he could have all of the gadgets he ever wanted to make his life cool, intersting and fully emerged into handling the simulacrum that others have created and that he so willingly oblidges to be a part of. Can he cook digital spaghetti and eat it? Can he farm a garden with it? Will it clean his shower? Will it talk to him and replace live people? I dont like to be negative but I just cant help myself. This guy is building a box to trap oneself in IMO and eventually many others will want in one too.
Maybe others can replace my negativity with things I'm not seeing but I just dont get it.
Nice find its. Not meaning to rant at you.

I completely agree with you. I notice that some people think this is just swell. Imo, the world is well off _without_ these people and I couldn't care less if they do themselves in. Obviously, not everyone can be saved, or, enlightened. [Yes, Virginia, there REALLY ARE human sheeple...sorry to say]
