You'll hear alot these days about the "Wisdom of Crowds", or "Crowd Sourcing", especially if you're in tech. It's not wisdom, it's predictability of the "system" that is being sought. Knowing what a crowd will do is not "wisdom" in my eyes, but an issue of control. If you know what the crowd will do, then you can control them.

The other term you might hear is "Emergence", which is the outcome of "Crowd Sourcing", or, in other words, what the crowd plans to do. I would equate crowd sourcing to "Mob Rule", as we're seeing with movements like Occupy Wall Street, where the "mob" determines all of society's direction.

I Just want to call-out some of the elitist code phrases that get thrown around without much thought about their significance.

It's much appreciated. They are just trying to "impress the yokels" imho. Such superiority - Rolling Eyes

It's really easy to see through this stuff (strategy) though, once one understands 'they' are trying to convince us that we are stupid if we understand their pseudo-intellectual speech, when the truth is, their use of words is **meant** to be confusing (& demoralizing). What a disgusting bunch of power addicted freaks....ugh.

My serious advice is, if someone uses triple-syllable "elegant" concepts we don't understand, they should be asked 'what does (that) mean?' (That should *really* scare 'em....haha--lol.)

Ayn Rand was an ardent exponent of speaking in the simplest terms possible, and that certainly wasn't because of an inadequate vocabulary. She simply had an honest desire to communicate ideas as simply as she could, so that they would be understood!! A very noble concept, indeed!
