I just learned something that might be viewed as trivial, but that certainly blew my mind when I found out.
It seems that the move "The China Syndrome" (about a reporter who finds what appears to be a cover-up of safety hazards at a nuclear power plant) was released into theaters on 16 March 1979, and the "accident" occured on March 29, 1979, approximately 2-weeks later.
Either the movie was predictive programming for the "accident," or that was one hell of a coincidence. I guess it all depends on how vast one thinks the Simulacrum is.
