| Paul Harvey and J Edgar Hoover on MSN.com
For the better part of six decades, Paul Harvey spun tales on the radio in his staccato baritone, entertaining up to 24 million listeners a day with folksy vignettes ending in unexpected twists.
And now, the rest of the story.
Previously confidential files show that Harvey, who died last February at 90, enjoyed a 20-year friendship with FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, often submitting advance copies of his radio script for comment and approval. Harvey wrote Hoover and his deputies regularly. Hoover, in turn, helped Harvey with research, suggested changes in scripts and showered the broadcaster with effusive praise.
I dont know what to say about this, it is an MSM article.

So, here's a great example of how vectoring works to contain and obfuscate. A regular person would say that this is truth telling... that the source is "revealing truth." But are they "revealing truth"? I'd argue that Harvey's scripts were written for him by insiders, and those insiders worked closely with FBI, DIA, CIA and various think tanks, and probably had even worked at one of these institutations at one time. There was no one, who was an insider, who would have been unaware of the content of Harvey's news casts, for they were created for him by these insiders, with many having input into the scripts. The purpose of this story is to put a ceiling on public knowledge. They know that the public is losing trust in the media establishment, so they drip feed the public with small tidbits of information that APPEAR to be revealing, but are actually just more concealment. By the way, I understand that Paul Harvey Jr. is now doing the broadcasts, and that he sounds just like his dad. Many audience members don't even notice the change.
