More song lyrics - Nevermore Empty
PostSubject: More song lyrics - Nevermore   More song lyrics - Nevermore EmptyThu 06 May 2010, 10:34 am

Seems like these guys are "in the know", for better or for worse I guess...I was blown away to see something from 2005 saying this.

Nevermore - Bittersweet Feast

Please let me help you bury your dead

They've made the incision and driven their industry's waste in your
head

The pyres in the distance glow beyond the haze

The hypocrites bear witness to the end of days

This is your final warning, a war on freewill is coming

This disillusion, this ignorant display

Defies solution and emasculates disdain

The sheep march to the fire and wait to host the flies

Their greedy little maggots clean the wounds with pride

This is your final warning, a war on freewill is coming

They feast on the meat in bittersweet denial

And swallow the blood of poisoned truths

They pick at the meat, a bittersweet feast for all the liars

In idle servitude the worker pig so sad

The lizards in wither have risen to censor the thoughts in your head

The sheep are stoned and quiet choking on the lies

The lizards feed the fire without compromise

This is your final warning, a war on freewill is coming

They feast on the meat in bittersweet denial

And swallow the blood of poisoned truths

They pick at the meat, their bittersweet feast

Begging forgiveness in denial, your misery shows it's face

You drown in your weakness, the plasphemous river washes away your
mistakes

Please let me help you bury your dead

They've made the incision and driven their industry's waste in your
head

This is your final warning, the holocaust of thought is dawning

They feast on the meat in bittersweet denial

And swallow the blood of poisoned truths

They pick at the meat, their bittersweet feast

A bittersweet feast for all the liars

I am also blown away! You can almost hear the devil, the evil laughter behind the lyrics....It actually seems palpable.

Very reminiscent of, for one, Michael Jackson's stuff, I think...

This is what I found on youtube, is this the song?

It looks to me like a combination of predictive programming and fear cultivation. Sometimes I think they just do this stuff so that people can look back in history and get freaked-out that there were these predictive elements within our culture that no one noticed at the time.

I'd say this band's lyrics are almost certainly written by a professional think tank, specializing in culture creation via music. I think the psychologists, sociologists, etc. have gotten to be very good at this.

While searching youtube for this song, I also found this one from the same band. While I didn't listen to the lyrics, the song title certainly caught my eye.

Agreed, in spades. It greatly validates what someone like Alan Watt keeps saying, that it's all been planned for about the last hundred years (and as I mentioned in an earlier post, that "it's all inexorable and not to be stopped..."). The old 'You Can't Win' theme....which STILL seems to be the sum/thrust of his message, all else he says being very true, imo.

OH Yeah!!!
Indeed, and uh-huh.

Gonna check these out...thanks very much for posting. Smile

P.S. With regard to predictive programming, the thing I don't quite grasp is: how PP in any way "softens someone up" for a future calamity - because in my case all it would accomplish is to raise a great alarm in my mind when the dreaded event showed up again... (Hope this is clear !!?) What I'm saying is, it certainly wouldn't cause me to accept it... More song lyrics - Nevermore Confused -yet that seems to be its purpose. Can you explain this IP?

The holocaust of thought is just an instrumental, no lyrics, though I'm sure the title is a reference to the first song I posted.

Check out there song called Sentient 6, it is about machines killing off mankind, it has backwards lyrics that even say "I am the beast that is technology". Taunting the common man's dependence on tech maybe? My imagination kind of ran with this one, and I pictured the elites creating machines to de-populate the world, and acting like the machines were doing it on their own, kind of creepy.

Then they have this song called The Psalm of Lydia (these are all on the same album even), it is odd because while the others songs mostly seem to be cruelly accurate or at least based in the "real" world, this one seems more like it has to do with a cult or some esoteric religion, it doesn't really make any sense to me. I was hoping some of you guys might have the knowledge to make some sense of it:

When I blacked out in the winter months of Capricorn
I had a strange
dream that I lived a thousand winter's gone
A thousand winter's faded
gray and shuttered by the wind
To tell the tale of Lydia, her legacy
begins uprising
Unveiling the absurdity in the tragedy of man
And
it's hero the all seeing worm

The pain is born from memory of
pleasures unparalleled and pure
In
velvet sleep I live the past again
There is no chance to release me,
no answer to bring peace
Some other people conjure dreaming,
sanctified
electric karmic burn through

The pigs, they marched from under
to pull down the moon
And summon the bringer of doom
Now sullen
the demons fade away and summon their final call
Lydia slayed them
all

The pain is born from memory of pleasures unparalleled and
pure
This is the psalm of Lydia
Oh my sweet Lydia the others have
told me it is not your time to leave
It is not your time, you've so
much more to see

The thing that bothers the most about these songs is that it seems like they managed to write these words in such a way that their target demographic has absolutely no idea what they mean, yet they are still filling their heads with this stuff...presumably for some purpose.

I have been searching through various metal sites that did reviews of this album as will as forums discussing it, I haven't found one that had any clarity of what the song Bittersweet Feast is talking about (yet it is painfully obvious to me, a war on freewill is coming, how much more obvious can you get?).

If I was to give the band the benefit of the doubt and think that they just wrote this themselves to try and warn others or something, it just doesn't make sense...why would you write something with such depth and horrific ramifications and then not bother to make sure your fans actually know wtf you are saying? All it would take is one interview to say it, but they just never do, so I have to agree with you guys that this came out of some think tank.

I mean you right this epic song about a war against the human mind, how the lizards a running show, etc. only to have your fans take it as "that sounds angry, I like it" (typical metal fans) and not bother to bring a little more understanding to the table? Why did you bother to say it at all then?

So as far as what purpose this is for, I would bet on predictive programming and fear generation.

Predictive programing - familiarize us along fictitious line with ideas which are yet to come.

Fiction as a Precursor to Fact

Thus, "science fiction" is a means of conditioning the masses to accept future visions that the elite wish to tangibly enact. This process of gradual and subtle inculcation is dubbed "predictive programming." Hoffman elaborates: "Predictive programming works by means of the propagation of the illusion of an infallibly accurate vision of how the world is going to look in the future" (205). Also dubbed "sci-fi inevitabilism" by Hoffman, predictive programming is analogous to a virus that infects its hosts with the false belief that it is:
  • Useless to resist central, establishment control.
  • Or it posits a counter-cultural alternative to such control which is actually a counterfeit, covertly emanating from the establishment itself.
  • That the blackening (pollution) of earth is as unavoidable as entropy.
  • That extinction ('evolution") of the species is inevitable.
  • That the reinhabitation of the earth by the "old gods" (Genesis 6:4), is our stellar scientific destiny. (Cool

Predictive programming or "precession of simulacra"
It seeds the thoughts in minds that would never think of such futures (my words). As HG Wells said 'the shape of things to come', they overlay their template in people's minds through media, first with fiction, then education, finally political policies.

It is important to note that when Baudrillard refers to the "precession of simulacra" in Simulacra and Simulations, he is referring to the way simulacra have come to precede the real in the sense mentioned above, rather than to any succession of historical phases of the image. Referring to "On Exactitude in Science", a fable written by Borges, he argued that just as for contemporary society the simulated copy had superseded the original object, so, too, the map had come to precede the geographic territory (c.f. Map–territory relation), e.g. the first Gulf War (see below): the image of war preceded real war.

Henceforth, it is the map that precedes the territory - precession of simulacra - it is the map that engenders the territory and if we were to revive the fable today, it would be the territory whose shreds are slowly rotting across the map

That last writeup C1 really helped me to understand how the procession of the simulacra precedes the real, image of war preceded the real war, thanks.

Lots here for me to study. Thanks for the extensive explanation. I'll now have to see if I can tie all this together...so that 2+2 will equal 4 in a workable way. More song lyrics - Nevermore Icon_pirat
